Student Bible Drill

 

"Seconds to recall...a lifetime to remember."  

At Covenant Bible Drill exists is to help young people learn, memorize, and apply the Bible to their own lives.

The program is open to children K5 - 12th grade and is divided into four groups:  

  • Bible Buddies (K5 - 2nd Grade)

  • Children's Bible Drill (3rd - 6th Grade)

  • Youth Bible Drill (7th - 9th Grade)

  • High School Bible Drill (10th - 12th Grade)

Bible Buddies will memorize the books of the bible and a few Key Passages. In the children's level, the students not only learn and locate all 66 books of the Bible, they also memorize a specific set of Scripture verses and learn to locate important Key Passages.  The Youth and High School levels build on the foundation of the children's level by adding in key doctrinal verses and steps to salvation as well as memorization of Key Biblical Passages. 

Students are welcome to join at any level -- it is not necessary to have participated in lower grades.

 Adult Bible Drill

 

Adult Bible Drill exists to encourage bible memory among adults and the entire church. Adults and bible drill students can be mutually challenged with a little healthy competition and encouragement.

  • Adults choose which class to follow (children, youth, high school) as well as a version of the bible (ESV or KJV). Verse cards are the same for students and adults.

  • You don't need to participate in an actual drill and there is no class meeting time. (But you can drill if you would like!) Simply find an accountability partner, start learning the books of the bible, and work on memorizing the verses.

  • A handout with some helpful hints on memorizing the verses and the books of the Bible can be found on the bulletin board in the children's area. You may also download the file HERE.

  • It’s never too late.  If you decide later to join us, you can always jump in whether you sign up or not.

  • A “verse of the week” will be in each Sunday’s worship guides.  This is the verse that the children’s class will be learning if you would like to learn along with them.  *Please note: the children will be learning ESV.

  • Challenge some of the children in Bible Drill and ask them to challenge you!
