When Helping Hurts: How to Alleviate Poverty Without Hurting the Poor . . . and Yourself
authored by Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert

This is an excellent study for anyone interested in short-term missions, or interested in helping the poor, even of our own community. It radically challenges traditional thinking among Christians as to the best ways to minister to people without developing a dependent mindset among the poor. When we minister and carry the gospel to others, we want to do so without damaging them or the gospel. This study will be eye-opening, convicting, and maybe even painful, but it will help anyone minister well without doing long-term harm to those they desire to reach. John Nolan and the Weavers will lead these studies.

Women's Study

None Like Him: 10 Ways God Is Different from Us (and Why That's a Good Thing)
by author, speaker, and Bible teacher Jen Wilkin

This study is a consideration of the non-communicable attributes of God and will be an exciting study. Erin Dodson, Molly Gervacio, Marsha Glas, and Laurie Rowell are the leaders.

General Bible Study

The general Bible study will continue with aspects of Matthew’s Gospel taken from Sunday sermons and applied to our present-day lives and culture. Jason, Josh and Pastor David will be leading in the study.

Cost of the books for either study is $10.

Payments can be made at the church after the books arrive.
